Doug set up a “critter cam” in our backyard. He scatters apples around it and wakes up the next day like a kid on Christmas morning looking for wildlife footage.  The first day, he found snapshots of himself setting up the camera.  The second day, a slideshow of me pushing the kids on the swings.  Day three, a dozen or more pics of our dogs attempting to eat the apples.  But on day four, his critter cam investment finally paid off.
